1. Controller and scope
Patrick Gruben, Rolandstraße 14, 40476 Düsseldorf, Germany. Contact: info@grubenhund.com. This notice covers Wobble Garden. Website visitors are also covered by the website privacy notice (German). Updated October 2, 2026.
2. Local saves and test notes
Puzzles, flowers, inventory, outfit, preferences and paid ad receipt IDs are stored on your device to preserve progress and prevent duplicate rewards (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The internal beta also keeps a bounded local list of technical gameplay events and optional ratings. No automatic upload of these notes occurs. You can explicitly export a file or use the system share sheet; exported files must be deleted separately.
3. Optional Apple or Google cloud saves
Cloud saving starts only when you connect it in settings. iOS uses your Apple account’s private CloudKit database; Android is prepared for Google Play Games Saved Games, which is not yet enabled. Progress, flowers, helpers, cosmetics, outfit, revision and save time are saved. Age choices and test notes are excluded. A hashed account reference stored locally protects against overwriting after an account switch. Wobble Garden creates no separate account and no public leaderboard. Apple and Google saves remain separate.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for your requested backup. Saves remain until deleted. Disconnecting does not delete an existing copy. Platform account processing is governed by Apple and Google. Deletion may retain a minimal version marker without gameplay, balance or outfit data to stop older devices resurrecting deleted saves.
4. Age range rather than birthday
The neutral screen offers under 13, 13–15, 16–17, 18 or older, and an option not to answer. On supported iOS versions you may use Apple’s Declared Age Range. Only the category and source are stored locally, not a birthday or identity document. A child category from Apple cannot be overridden by manually selecting adult. The purpose is age-appropriate ad restrictions (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR where required, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f): protecting minors). No interest profiles are created from age information. Play Age Signals are not used for advertising.
5. Google AdMob and privacy choices
For unknown ages and under 16, neither ads nor UMP requests are loaded. Ages 16–17 may request optional videos with restricted age treatment. Adults may additionally see occasional interstitials after solved levels. Before ad initialization, Google UMP refreshes required privacy choices. No ads are requested without its permission. Settings → Werbedatenschutz öffnen lets you change or withdraw available choices.
The internal beta uses test ads only; these may still transmit data to Google. Wobble Garden requests non-personalized ads, disables personalization and the publisher first-party ID, and caps content at G. It does not request IDFA tracking permission or precise location. Non-personalized is not anonymous: IP address, device information, ad interactions and diagnostics may be processed for delivery, fraud prevention and reports. See SDK disclosures and Google privacy. Processing requiring consent relies on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where applicable, section 25(1) TDDDG. The relevant form identifies available choices and partners. Withdrawal applies prospectively.
6. Contact and platform diagnostics
If you send a message or report, we process what you send to respond (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related inquiries, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f): handling inquiries). Apple or Google may process their own diagnostic and testing data depending on your device and programme settings, including feedback you submit. Provider services may process data outside the EEA under their linked notices; exclusively European processing is not promised. Local gameplay notes are not automatically sent to us.
7. Deletion and your rights
See deletion instructions for local data, cloud saves, exports and support messages. Subject to legal conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability, withdraw consent prospectively, and object to legitimate-interest processing based on your situation. Contact info@grubenhund.com. You may complain to a supervisory authority, including LDI NRW. No automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effect are made.
